Kim returns to several familiar places, the empty beaches, Sizewell, Minsmere, Orford Ness and the many heathland areas between Middleton and the sea. These monotypes are painted with a limited palette, the work is essentially about a personal sense of place rather than an interest in detail. The Sizewell prints have an air of dark tranquility, others are painted with a sense of urgency, the marks conveying the space and distance of Suffolk's expansive environment.
